Hamada was always ready to accommodate our requests. We organised transfer to the airport at 4am in the morning and it went very well. Also the visit to Abu Simbel temple. The island is very peaceful and the Guesthouse super clean and comfortable.

We can highly recommend this place. It is very clean and comfortable, new furniture and fresh finishes. Large enough room and a separate common space with a sofa. The beds are comfortable and the bathroom is also good. The hosts are very nice and customer-oriented people. The rooftop is very nice for breakfast and just spending time with a cup of coffee. The location is good, 5 minutes from the pier. If you want a break from the Egyptian noise, I definitely recommend you to stay on Elephantine Island in this gesthouse.

Excellent experience overall. Great service by the hotel manager Mr Samir who made sure our stay was as comfortable as possible. His operations management is on an international level, fast and efficient. Follow-up before checking in was good by Ahmed who made sure we had all necessary information and booked the pickup car for us. The hotel staff are friendly and welcoming. Their cuisine is superb. Excellent food and drinks quality. Their tagines meals and hot Oreo drink are a must try. The design of the place is authentic Nubian with great decorations done by Somaia. The rooms are spacious and right above the Nile so you can enjoy a splendid sunrise from the room's terrace. Definitely visiting Dolty Kato again!

For those who are looking for relaxing quiet place in Aswan, I can strongly recommend this guest house, managed by Omar – Wonderful host!! 1) Hospitality Omar is a man who really cares about the guest, provides wide range of service based on our requests, which was extremely helpful. (late night boat arrival, early morning transportation/sandwich, etc.) The outstanding uniqueness is - He never pushed his own desire to us, he just quickly supported us, when we faced some issues. For a Foreigner, this may be a very rare communication experience in Egypt. (Negotiating with the local people sometimes happen to be very stressful..) 2) Delicious Omar is an excellent cook, his cuisine shows a great local atmosphere. Relaxing breakfast and dinner (option) on the roof top was something which added high value to our vacation. 3) Relaxing Isolated island from the city, quiet atmosphere, warm Nubian people, Ferry on the Nile river experience, etc, great place to relax. (hopefully without wifi – connection was perfect)

The family is exceptionally kind and helpful. They create a true feeling of safety and hospitality. We were so happy to have stayed at Mustafa's and to meet him and his family. Safe space in center for both lone travellers, women, and families with small children.

We were the only family at the property (because of the season's end) so we had an endless conversation about the history, ancient Egypt, and the Nubian life with Seyfi. Hotel is very clean with A/C, good wifi, and a wide lobby. We felt like a guest in a village house, not a customer of them. Seyfi helped us to find a taxi to go to Luxor and called us every time to be sure we were ok. My kids liked him too much and these nice Nubian people. very happy to see you there, we believe we have a friend there.

Super clean, nice, and hospitable. It's more of a guesthouse so if you are looking for a more local experience, this is your spot. Location-wise, it's not in the hustle and bustle of the main town, however, it's only a short inexpensive boat ride across the Nile, which to me makes it a fun feature. Full on breakfast to start your day, and a super delicious dinner I ordered on one of my nights. The host and his family are super welcoming and helpful, always in tune with their guests.

We loved being immersed in the community, stepping out the door to local markets and restaurants was so much fun. We are a family of 4 and had the second floor to ourselves which was clean, spacious and comfortable. Mustafa was amazing, always making sure we were comfortable and organised for all our sightseeing at great prices. I don’t think our stay in Aswan would have been the same staying anywhere else. A real gem for our Egypt experience.

The hotel was really nice and clean and the staff were amazing. Rooms were spacious and had all amenities. Staff were very helpful and assisted with all our requirements, even packed us breakfast when we left very early for our tour. They also arranged a nice cake for a birthday celebration in our group. Swimming pool was a great addition and children had fun. The restaurant was great with nice variety of food and catered to our vegetarian request. All in all we had a great experience.

The experience is unmatched. First homestay and very memorable. Family friendly atmosphere. Comfy room and bathrooms. Trip along the Nile to Philae Temple. Eating dinner together was special. Really tasty food. Relaxing in the evening and listening to locals play music. Being able to absorb the Nubian culture was special.

Nothing. Not as described. Too far from aswan. The worst breakfast of my life. Kids did not it. I will never go back. The manager wasted 2 hours at the check in and the day was lost. I will be making a complaint and get a refund.

It's a cozy place where everyone can be together. The island is small but when you are there then you can feel the real Aswan. The people are the best, they are funny and helpful. They also offer affordable and excellent transportation to Luxor and Abu Simbel! Its a place for family and friends.
