What a treat to stay at this amazing place in the quaint village of Garai, just above the larger town of Durango. Staff is incredible (thanks to Olatz for warm welcome and Irune for delicious breakfast and excellent tips on sites in the area!). Rooms are very cozy, we had amazing views of the mountains. The entire hotel is decorated so tastefully. We highly recommend the Herriko restaurant in town, a short stroll from hotel. Garai is an excellent base to explore the Basque region.

Fantastic place to stay Karmele the host was amazing, she was so helpful with suggestions for places to eat, closed roads so we could get to the TdF. Karmele was just lovely. The breakfast were amazing. The house is clean modern, comfortable bed. Great shower. Bike storage. Would definitely recommend this place. We hope to go back one day too

Well equipped and spacious kitchen and living space. Excellent outdoor/veranda facilities with barbecue area. The nearby stream and mountain views make up for the light industrial facilities in the vicinity of the the property. Some truly spectacular hikes and views all within less than a 30 minute drive from the property. The property grew on us the longer we stayed.

Everything is very clean and new, apparently the hotel gas been renovated recently. I was happy to find the bad reviews outdated and not relevant anymore. The Hotel and the Restaurant Team is fantastic, very helpful and friendly. Location is good. All in all it is a very good value for money.
