This old mansion has been renovated and repurposed as a hotel with so much love and eye for detail, it‘s ridiculous. We only has one night there, bit completely fell in love with the place. The owners are super nice and gave a tour of the estate, explaining the history of the place and how they renovated it. The surroundings are really beautiful, there are a lot of hiking trails and charming, medieval towns to discover. Miranda de Ebro is 15 minutes away by car and offers nice food options for dinners.

We stayed for 2 nights after a day in Bilbao, so found the location very peaceful, quiet and restful. We had a warm welcome, and could choose a time to suit us for dinner. The evening meal was a limited choice of home cooked local produce - it was excellent. Our room was large and had all the facilities we needed. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area - lots of walking and great cycling.

I’ve stayed in numerous country cottages over the years, and I must say that this one has become my favourite. Peaceful and quiet and just a short drive to the nearest town / city. The climate was cold but the heating inside perfect and pleasant.
