This was one of the most special accommodations I have ever stayed at. It is an old, very authentically restored mansion. The location is in a small sleepy village among sunflower fields. The owner of the house gave us a very exciting tour and told us about the history of the place. We also enjoyed a delicious dinner and good local wines. The house also has a small lush garden and chickens. The room was designed in a historical style, but it had all the amenities, including the bathroom. It was a really nice experience staying in this house.

We stayed for 2 nights after a day in Bilbao, so found the location very peaceful, quiet and restful. We had a warm welcome, and could choose a time to suit us for dinner. The evening meal was a limited choice of home cooked local produce - it was excellent. Our room was large and had all the facilities we needed. We really enjoyed our stay in this beautiful area - lots of walking and great cycling.

I’ve stayed in numerous country cottages over the years, and I must say that this one has become my favourite. Peaceful and quiet and just a short drive to the nearest town / city. The climate was cold but the heating inside perfect and pleasant.
