The most beautiful, cozy and home-feeling accommodation I've ever experienced in Finland. Each room is unique. Everything is clean. Breakfast was superb. Very quiet place. Big confortable bed, and no lumpy pillows. The owners are wonderfully warm and easy-going. Loved it!

We spent a nice 5 nights here and I can say that it was as good as expected. The property has all the basic neccessities you need to spend your time here even with small children. The owner (Ari) waited for us to hand ower the keys and show around and was there over phone or by person if we needed anything. We also rented out the hot tub which was a well worth the extra price. There is a Kota at the property that can be used, and is equpeed to prepare anything you might want. There is also a traditional gas BBQ station that can be used. There is also a small jetty with a table to prepare freshly cought fish, if that is your thing, but we just enjoyed the scenery and the peace of the property. Ari also suprosed us with some freshly cought zander and the method to prepare it traditionally, and it was really good. There are plenty of activites to do nearby, so I would highly recommend this location for anybody that want to wisit this area of Finland.

Lots of things to do for a family holiday: golf, frisbee golf, table tennis. Sandbox and playroom for the little ones. Common room with a tv and a piano. Short walk to the zoo (there’s also a treetop adventure there) and its hotel where there’s an indoor pool/small spa (not too expensive for outside guests) and a restaurant. Lots of hiking trails too, and a beach whitin walking distance, don’t know what they are like as didn’t try them. The cabins are very clean and comfortable and the staff is friendly. Less than 1 km to walk from the train station, but the trains only run twice a day in each direction. 20min by train/car to Tuuri where there’s a free funfair for the kids.

Offering a private beach by Lake Ähtärinjärvi, Honkiniemi is 15 km from Ähtäri city centre. WiFi and parking are free. Lake views and a private bathroom with shower are standard at Honkiniemi.

The area is beautiful and peaceful. Buildings are in good condition and clean without any "cottage odours". Sauna and swimming experience was excellent, well worth of that 15€. The breakfast was more camping like than continental, but tasty. Young man at the reception was kind and helpful. At the same time with our visit there was a summer camp for Lutheran youngsters going on. That brought some life and action to the area without any disturbance. It seems that Lutheran church of Seinäjoki has succeeded to create a good and appreciative atmosphere on their summer camp, big respect to that.

These luxury cottages are located in Ähtäri Nature Park, just 300 metres from Lake Hankavesi. Each offers an electric sauna, as well as a fully equipped kitchen and private, lake-view terrace.

I travelled with two school age boys and it was perfect for us. Great location, right on the lake with all the facilities. A lot of things to do around the place. Ideal for two boys to spend a summer week.
