The house was elegant and comfortable. We had all the facilities we needed. It was well situated for visiting the sites. It was lovely to be greeted by the host.

Once a coaching inn, Hôtel de La Croix d'Or is now a charming hotel-restaurant located in the centre of Avranches, just 20 minutes from the famous Mont Saint Michel.

We were travelling up from the south west and needed a place to stop over for one night. We also wanted secure parking as we had electric bicycles on the back of the car and Hotel de La Croix d'Or was perfect. The food in the resturant that night was superb and a delicious breakfast with plenty of choice the next morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the room was spotless. We were sorry to have only spent the one night in Avranches and would like to have had the time to explore it a bit more

Lovely sized bathroom with a great garden are to relax. Very friendly and accommodating family. Only 30 easy drive to MSM and Granville.

Franc made us so welcome. Breakfast was great and the host took great pride in sourcing locally farmed products which were delicious. Very beautiful garden and very quiet which is exactly what we wanted. We had a room with a terrace which meant we could sit in the sunshine. The location is perfect if you want to visit both Mont Saint Michel and St. Malo. Thoroughly recommend staying here.
