Exceptional property - the grounds and the rooms are just outstanding! The hostess Carine and her family are lovely, warm, welcoming people. They provided us with bikes so that we could explore the area - this was really helpful as we are not expert cyclists and do not travel with own bikes, but could still explore and see the surrounding areas, which was great. I’ve not seen many places that do this so it is an added bonus. Carine is really attentive to every detail and the property, the swimming pool and the grounds are immaculate. It was hard to say goodbye but we will be back!

Such a beautiful place! Amazing building staying on the grounds of the Abbey which is incredible. The hosts were really lovely, delicious breakfast with home made marmalade. Room was very nice with big window that opened onto the huge garden. Good ensuite with a good shower. Kettle with tea and coffee in the hallway to help yourself. It's a really cool area to explore too, Montelieu is a lovely little town.

This place is very special, situated in the lovely elevated village of Fanjeaux, it is a superbly designed suite of rooms with a stunning view for miles across the countryside as far as the Black Mountains. With its own private entrance, the first room in the suite is a spacious conservatory with cosy seats, beautiful plants, decor with books and even painting and sketching materials thoughtfully provided for guests. From here a door leads into very attractive mini-kitchen/dining room that looks out across the stunning view, with coffee-machine, fridge, microwave and little butler sink complete with a dresser filled with beautiful pottery and glassware. The next room with the same breathtaking view is the super comfortable bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The hosts have put so much care into making people welcome here and are very kind and responsive while giving guests perfect privacy in a peaceful space.
