Both hosts are lovely welcoming people. They made us feel at home right away. The room we stayed in was cozy and comfortable. If you want to go for the full experience, I recommend you to inform if you can make a reservation for the restaurant. We had amazing Thai food prepared by our host in the living room of the estate. We enjoyed our stay very much, 10/10!

Have eaten here before but this was the first time of staying overnight. The room was comfortable, clean and bathroom facilities were excellent. We booked a meal in the restaurant and this was exceptional - limited menu but everything was well presented and absolutely delicious. The staff were friendly and nothing was too much trouble for them. We know that they will be extending the hotel this year and adding another 14 rooms. We look forward to staying with them again in 2025. Marvellous experience and would thoroughly recommend a stay here in the heart of Richelieu. Convenient for every facility, including the park of the Duke de Richelieu which is an experience not to be missed as long as you have the legs.

The Rive Sud is a beautiful family-run bed & breakfast in walking distance to the charming little town of Chinon. It is located near the bike route "la Loire à Vélo". All rooms are clean and tastefully decorated. We could leave our bicycles in safe shelter on the premises. Breakfast is lovely with homemade yogurt, fresh bread and viennoiseries. Rudy and Mathieu are very nice and happy to help finding a good restaurant nearby. They did everything to make our stay an unforgettable experience - thank you so much for your hospitality!

The is a fantastic characterful old property. I was on the top floor of the building. There was a lovely tiled floor throughout and the bed was super comfy. There was a shower and also a roll top bath in a seperate room if you wanted to soak for a few hours. The owners were very welcoming and we talked using Google translate. The property is a short walk from the town which has plenty of shops and restaurants. In the morning a simple continental breakfast of baguette, jam, croissant orange juice yoghurt and coffee. I can't recall whether the property description stated that a breakfast was included or not so it was a pleasant surprise. The courtyard garden out the back was lovely and kept my bicycle safe overnight. A perfect stay; thank you 😁

We loved our stay here and wish it was for longer. The house is beautifully renovated, the bedroom and en suite was large and comfortable with garden/pool view. The pool is heated and there are sunloungers to relax on as well as an alfresco sofa area with a beer and wine fridge. The hosts were friendly and gave you space to enjoy the peaceful environment. The breakfast was a very good comprehensive continental.
