Everything was perfect. It was the weekend of our anniversary where we got engaged the day before so we came for our anniversary to celebrate double occasion. A gift from the hotel ... A bottle of Presecco was waiting for us at the door of the room when we went to the car to get our luggage right after check-in. There was even a small fridge in the wardrobe in the room, which was a surprise because I forgot that the room was equipped with it. Great quality of furniture, details in the corridor. Beautiful pictures. Perfect stay. We wish we could stay longer and we had to go back to work, the next stay will be there again and definitely for longer. The room was at the back of the building which was just what we wanted for us. Sea view in the morning .. Peace and quiet and the proximity of the CO-OP store for those interested is a great plus when the wine or ice cream runs out. And breakfast served in the room is not a problem for the staff. It was delicious, thank you very much. Best regards

My wife and I stayed at Borthwnog Hall as part of our drive from Bath, around Wales, and to Oxford. It can be thought of as an adjunct to a country home, located in a beautiful site overlooking an estuary. Our room boasted a balcony, and the view was great. Housekeeping was excellent, the staff was helpful, breakfast was fine and parking was free. This is not, it should be said, a place to stay if you want to be able to walk to bars, clubs and restaurants. It's a country venue, after all. But there's a good pub/restaurant visible and accessible by bridge a short drive away, and the nice beach town of Barmouth isn't far.

There were a lot of stairsteps up to my room but what a view it afforded! I could see the entire width of the estuary and its tidal changes. And the room was large and beautifully decorated. Breakfast was delicious and the serving staff were very cheerful every morning. Kudos to Gary who was pleasant, kind, courteous, and treated me (a senior female solo traveler) very well.

We had the most wonderful stay and the hotel really lived up to and exceeded expectations with fantastic staff. Once you are there you can really appreciate the detail that has gone into the design, the Welsh inspired art, and the wonderful surrounds. The bar was a lovely relaxing space with delicious cocktails.

We’ve stayed here before, it’s a lovely property in an ideal location, surrounded by Snowdonia National Park and close to Barmouth etc. The inclusive breakfast was fantastic, they use great produce and there’s plenty on offer. Room 310 was brilliant for our group of 6, there was plenty of room and storage, and the modern bathroom was as one would expect. Great property at a very competitive price!
