I liked this hotel, a couple of miles out of Melksham. In a grand stone manor building, it is well presented with beautiful public spaces, a restaurant, and some lovely rooms. The lovely outdoor swimming pool was heated to a warm temperature which was nice. It has nice grounds to wander around in, and it was quiet at nighttime, with just the birds to wake you up. Our room on the ground floor was a quiet, cosy twin, we had enough space just to pull the twin beds apart to make some space between the beds. Great, strong shower over the bath. A fridge and tea making facilities. We ate dinner one night in the restaurant, it was very nice food. Breakfast is served in there every day. The staff were lovely and super helpful.

We had the most wonderful staycation at Bowood and would highly recommend it to anyone. The staff, food and facilities were all so fantastic. We saw so much wildlife while enjoying a coffee on the terrace, which added even more magic to our stay. We will be back for sure.

We were happy with the location of Urban Loafts and they had handy carparking facilities. Close to everything. Accommodation was excellent and we were left a welcome box which was so handy for breakfast as we were checking in late for our first night.

    Grade II listed building that was originally a farmers family house. Great location. Very quite and relaxing. All staff were friendly and helpful. Can't comment on evening meals but breakfast was just what you needed after and early morning swim in the outdoor pool. We stayed in a 'snug' type room. Great nights sleep in a comfortable spacious bed. Room facilities were well equipped and for coffee lovers a Nespresso Professional Zenius coffee machine in the room. A location we will keep in mind for the future.

    Beautiful house, pool looked lovely, big grounds for dogs to run around, very easy with dogs and children. The technology of checking in/out was good - able to do it remotely and just leave.

    Building and location beautiful. Pool area also beautiful and a pleasure to dip in when other guests children had gone. Staff were friendly and polite. Room was clean. Parking is close to the hotel. It's picturesque.
