We were very warmly welcomed by the hosts to this lovely property with a superb garden. The room was lovely, comfortable and well appointed. The downstairs lounge was charming with amazing and interesting collectibles and furnishing. The host recommended a fantastic Indian restaurant who actually delivered our take away food to us with the host supplying the cutlery & crockery, glasses etc saving us having to go out. There is a village convenience shop across the road which sells beers and wine too. We enjoyed a perfect evening after a most interesting guided tour around the gardens from the owner. A great choice of B & B with a perfect breakfast. Thanks to our hosts.

Excellent location, food and staff were so accommodating as we had a small dog in our group (he stayed at the Royal Lodge) and breakfast was moved and service in the bar area to suit him! Staff were also very forgiving when we set off the fire alarm with a birthday cake candle ! The location is fantastic as we were lucky enough to have the room with balcony overlooking the rope ferry etc !

Full of character. A hidden gem. My 15-year-old daughter said within 5 minutes of being in the property, "I am in love and want to live here." Definitely a romantic and quirky stay, as advertised! Exceeded expectations. Offers something very different. Built in 1900, offering a sense of history. Spiral staircase up through the middle of the building gave it a 'lighthouse' feel. Modest in size, it felt grand. Self-contained. Stone lintles. Rustic, warm, and cosy appeal. Off the beaten track. Gardens were substantial. Lots of planting so will be nice in the summer. We didn't use the fire pit or have a bbq, but it would be perfect for that. Our puppy loved playing outside in the grounds. Dog friendly! There are a few gaps in the fencing, so you need to be paying attention to any 4-legged friends that might want to 'explore'. Big comfy sofa and a selection of dvds were available to finish off our evening. Nice chocolate biscuits, tea and coffee provided too. Bedding and towels included. Short drive to Goodrich Castle, which is a lovely heritage site. We had dinner in Ross at the Hope & Anchor. Taxi was £20 each way, although it is an easy drive. Other options are also available closer. It's worth noting that the WiFi is limited and a work in progress. Also, the spiral staircase would be tricky for anyone with mobility issues. These were non-issues for us. For my wife (it was her birthday) and my daughter, who had a small separate sleeping quarters, this was a perfect stay. Kind thanks to our host, Miriam. We couldn't have had a better stay.. We hope to visit again!

Lovely property in Kerne Bridge, close to Symonds Yat and the Forest of Dean. There was loads to do in the local area including hiking, kayaking and mountain biking. The bed was very comfy with an en-suite and nice spacious shower. The room had lovely views over looking the valley and garden.
