This is a lovely place to stay in a fairly rural area. The room had old character which I liked, the room was quite large and was comfortable. There is a restaurant and bar downstairs which served nice food and a good breakfast. A good beer garden out back, just enough parking as I don't think they have many rooms so all was well.

Set 16 km from Lacock Abbey, The Old Smithy offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking.

The old farmhouse’s house has been renovated stylishly, and you can take photos that can be uploaded on Instagram no matter where you take pictures! “The staff at the hotel ordered an adapter of British tap for me and lent it to me, which was very helpful.” There were washing machines and dishwashers in the kitchen! The fireplace in the living room was made of old brick walls and it was wonderful!

Delicious cooked breakfast with varied choices. So nice to have air conditioning and a little mini fridge. We ate dinner in the restaurant and it was excellent.

Everything was fantastic during our stay at the Green Dragon. The staff was wonderful, the food was wonderful - absolutely everything was perfect. The stay was quiet and peaceful - while the pub environment provided a great sense of the local community. The host was very helpful and pleasant. We really enjoyed our interaction with every staff member while we were there. We needed a room for four (two adults and two kids) at a reasonable price while visiting Stonehenge - but I also wanted something with some personality - and that combination can be difficult to find. This was a perfect accommodation for our family. - and, there is a dog, I love Arnie. What a great boy.

For an old building, the interior is surprisingly up to date, having recently been refurbished. The owners and their staff are, to a person, very customer friendly. There appears to be a minimalist approach on certain aspects, but that seems to support a lack of waste, and is to be applauded.

Where do I start? From the minute we arrived we were treated like queens. Paddy was so warm and welcoming and we instantly felt like part of the group. Paddy has an incredible talent at bringing everyone together and it seems his main focus is ensuring that everyone has a good time and builds memories. We only booked the one night but feel we have left with many friends. I have stayed in many places but none that have genuinely left me sad to leave. Cant wait till the next time and thank you Paddy and all the camping guests for an awesome time

The Inn war very tidy and comfortable, the people very friendly and helpful, a very nice garden space, very dog friendly even with bigger dogs (32Kg in our case), good parking space.
