The place was just so wonderful and cozy; the location was beautiful and it was perfect to visit with a small child - safe to just run out and play in front of the house. The arrival instructions were straight forward and easy to follow. The tiny house was really comfortable and clean. Internet became available throughout the stay, although it was also fine without... A very relaxing stay!

The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. We also ate there during the evening. The choice on the menu was great as were the meals! The bedroom was a fabulous size and the bathroom looked newly renovated, but get those towel hooks up Ian 😁. The staff were amazing and very helpful as were the hosts. We'd definitely return if we are in the area.

    The room was small but functional and spotlessly clean. Location was good for the dales or Durham and the coast. Breakfast was good, so was dinner (we ate in every night). All the staff were exceptionally friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.

    The cottage was spacious and had benefit of 2 bathrooms and extra downstairs toilet. Very well equipped and perfect for our large family. Smart furnishings and quality bed linen. Nice outside area with bbq. Nicely appointed bathrooms with shower and bath. We lived the big dining table and chairs seating all 8 of us. Super range cooker and all equipment to make proper meals. Nice to have the upstairs sitting room which was beautifully furnished and had such lovely views. Our hosts were friendly and welcoming.

    The location is perfect for visiting our family. It has easy access to Bishop Auckland and Durham. The food is exceptional and plentiful. Nothing is too much trouble for the staff. The Christmas Decorations were great fun. Other hotels say dogs accepted....they make dogs so welcome. I actually changed my dates for visiting the area rather than go elsewhere!

    Although we booked as a couple our daughter and her family also stayed at this property so it was really good that they had tables for 6 in the dining room which meant that we could all eat breakfast together. Good choice of green teas and oat milk both available in the room. Also had the choice of feather pillows which were available in the room.

    Great location for visiting family in the area. The room was comfortable, compact, clean and well equipped. They even provided a bowl,blanket and treats for our dog. Every member of staff was friendly and helpful.
