Where do I even start...it was AMAZING! The staff first and foremost were brilliant, starting with Sarah, who welcomed me with a huge smile and means to help in any way she could (like having my room ready a bit earlier than check in time or going through all there is to know about my staying), and then there was the lovely Allison at breakfast, so cheerful and sunny. I felt real love for the job from these two. The rest of the crew I didn't meat unfortunately. The room that I got was H-U-G-E and absolutely perfect in style and comfort. Bed was big and very comfy, the heating was just right, felt like home. Can't praise enough. That's exactly the way I would like all the hotels or RBNBs to be like.

The room was great. It was comfortable, bigger than we expected, and beautiful. The location was great as well. The staff were really kind and helpful. We had a great time staying at this hotel specially after our hike. Would love to stay there again someday.

From the moment I booked the team at Merchants Yard went above and beyond to ensure I had the best possible stay. Nothing was a problem for them, organising flowers as we were celebrating our 25th Anniversary, booking a table for dinner, offering advice on things to do near by and much much more. On check in the team were brilliant, friendly welcome and a complimentary drink (thank you). Throughout our stay the team were amazing, always happy and made sure we had everything we needed. Brilliant 👏👏

The location was great next to beautiful Lady bower reservoir, Win hill and Bamford edge. Exceptionally clean, comfortable with great food and an amazing breakfast. The staff were just so friendly and couldn’t make us feel any more welcome. Would defiantly return 👍🏼

    we had the superior double room and it was very clean and tidy as was the bathroom,the shower is excellent,have to wait a bit for the hot water to come through but worth it.evening meals are excellent and a good choice,breakfast the same with a good choice.would stay again if in the area and recommend to family and friends even strangers.

    The pub was in a superb location. It has a spectacular garden with far reaching views. Very nice staff a great selection of beers wines etc. We had a beautiful meal in the evening. A fantastic breakfast a special mention to our breakfast host Karen who was fabulous. I would recommend this place to family and friends
