The breakfast was a mixture of traditional and continental and was very tasty - you could go back for more, if needed. The hotel is only about 3 miles for York making it perfect for a stay and there is ample parking as well. My youngest left 2 small toys in our room and the hotel (Bex & Liz) were amazing after I called about it as my son was in tears. Not only did they find and post the items back to us, but also had the thoughtfulness and kindness to take pictures of the toys "doing activities" around the hotel and included them, with a lovely note. My son was absolutely delighted. Thank you Bex, Liz and the Mercure staff.

Property felt homely. It was clean, well equipped and cosy. My children loved it as did I. Parking was at nearby street but it was so close to the cottage it wasn’t an issue. I would visit again 100%

Really fabulous stay. Lovely rooms, individually decorated, friendly staff, and great meals (dinner & breakfast). I understand it's under a recent management change, and boy does it show. Really friendly and a superb place to stay in the heart of Easingwold.
