The hotel room was modern and extremely clean, beautiful decoration and fully equipped with anything you might need for a comfortable stay. We first arrived for one night and ended up staying 3 instead. At the ground floor there is an excellent restaurant and a great pub that are open all week long. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The location allows for plenty of fee parking options, and it was near all the best spots around. Definitely recommended!

The staff was extremely helpful and had very good suggestions about things to do around the property. Easy to reach by car, and tasty breakfast! They have vegetarian breakfast option also. Walking distance from a Folk museum (free entry) and must visit !

Location was great. Close to shops in town and train/bus stops. Staff was lovely. Rooms were spacious. Hotel had a very nice old Scottish charm.

Close to both Kingussie Golf Club and Ruthven Barracks, Avondale House is situated in Kingussie and has spa facilities and garden.

What a find! Lovely warm welcome from Sam. From the moment we arrived Sam and his team couldn’t be more accommodating and helpful. Freshly renovated to an excellent standard. What a great stay! The fact that pizza’s were prepared especially for us was very kind. We were picked up and dropped off the next day by Stevie. His tips were excellent. It saved us from hiking a very wet trail.
