The whole inn is just spectacular. The fact that you can stay in an inn that’s running since the 17. century is beyond everything. The location is amazing, there’s a church in front of the inn which was built in 1190. I stayed in the Tudor Parlour room with my partner, it was clean and lovely, the beams through the walls are just beautiful. There was a tray with tea bags and coffee and sweet treats which is always a nice touch in a room. The sheets and the towels were extra soft. Not to mention the bathtub in the bathroom, it was really nice! The dining area with the beams and old tables was also just beyond beautiful with the lights and the whole atmosphere. We had breakfast with many options to choose from with different kind of teas and coffee. We also had a dinner in the inn which again was delicious. The manager and the staff, hence the locals were kind and sweet and I can’t wait to come back in the future!

We loved our stay here! Small pub serving super yummy food at a reasonable price. We all enjoyed our dinner and breakfasts! Brilliant atmosphere! Friendly, welcoming staff. Our family room was a decent size with two single beds and a double bed. Tea and coffee facilities, water, and biscuits in the room. Toiletries also provided. Great location for walks and exploring the local area. We stayed here visiting family and would definitely book here again on our next visit.

The staff and the quality of the food/drink made the trip. The hotel/facilities were faultless, but the staff were exceptional. Always happy to help and always willing to make sure we had everything we needed. Hotels far and wide could benefit from the same training.

So comfortable, everything you could want, beautiful location. Next to hosts home but they were there only if you wanted them to be. Chilly wet weather when I stayed but the cottage was lovely and warm. Nice little garden area outside for better weather. Fantastic location for art courses at Seawhites, walking and exploring the area. Absolutely excellent.

Quaint and such lovely decor. Loved all the extras in the room such as the reed diffuser and hot chocolate with biscuits. The food was absolutely delicious and I was met with a warm welcome.

Surrounded by beautiful South Downs hills, the pretty gardens of this converted Tudor house are secluded by tall trees.
