Beautiful location, peaceful and relaxing. Great food, very comfortable and clean room. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and knowledgeable about the area and places to visit(special thanks to George for being welcoming and making our stay exceptional).

We stayed at the black swan for 3 nights and used it as a base to travel out around the Lake District. Steve and Jacky were very welcoming and there was always laughing and joy in the air. It has a really homely feel to it throughout our stay. The rooms are lovely and have everything you would need, the bed was very comfortable after long walks and activities. The breakfast was amazing and a perfect start to an active day. A superb place to stay, relax and enjoy everything the Lake District has to offer. Thank you Jacky & Steve
