Great food in general (breakfast, dinner), nice variety of beers, very friendly staff willing to help with local "taxi" and recommendations on what to do. Possibility to leave luggage after check out and pick it up later.

The staff was extremely helpful and had very good suggestions about things to do around the property. Easy to reach by car, and tasty breakfast! They have vegetarian breakfast option also. Walking distance from a Folk museum (free entry) and must visit !

The hotel room was modern and extremely clean, beautiful decoration and fully equipped with anything you might need for a comfortable stay. We first arrived for one night and ended up staying 3 instead. At the ground floor there is an excellent restaurant and a great pub that are open all week long. The staff was incredibly helpful, friendly, and welcoming. The location allows for plenty of fee parking options, and it was near all the best spots around. Definitely recommended!

Just a lovely hotel in a great location. Rooom was lovely with 2 big windows. Great shower. Comfy bed. Can’t fault it really (other than the creaky floors but that’s part of staying in an old building).

Close to both Kingussie Golf Club and Ruthven Barracks, Avondale House is situated in Kingussie and has spa facilities and garden.
