We made a last minute booking while travelling. As it was a Monday, the restaurant was closing early and although we’d noted it in the welcome email, Chris took the time to call us and make sure we knew so we could stop on the way. Appreciated that! Breakfast was lovely and staff very friendly. Room was super clean and comfy, exactly what we needed!

What a great stay! The fact that pizza’s were prepared especially for us was very kind. We were picked up and dropped off the next day by Stevie. His tips were excellent. It saved us from hiking a very wet trail.

Location was great. Close to shops in town and train/bus stops. Staff was lovely. Rooms were spacious. Hotel had a very nice old Scottish charm.

Close to both Kingussie Golf Club and Ruthven Barracks, Avondale House is situated in Kingussie and has spa facilities and garden.

Sue and Steve are always very friendly and welcoming and they upgraded us to another bigger room which was lovely!

Best breakfast we've had in Scotland. Made fresh between 8-9 AM. Cosy house with wood-burning fireplaces - perfect for the cold days. The staff is really friendly and welcoming. If we ever have the chance to visit Aviemore again, I would definitely choose to stay here again.
