I fell ill just before I checked in. The staff were concerned and took care of me. The general manager almost literally carried me to my room, checked in on me, then called an ambulance when I showed no sign of improvement. The staff in general, and he in particular, could not have been kinder or more human. And, it’s an excellent pub, restaurant and hotel!

The staff were all first rate - all happy, helpful and genuinely pleasant. The room was spotlessly clean which can be tricky to achieve in older hotels in my experience. The food in the bar and in the restaurant was also delicious, well presented and cooked.

Staff brilliant could not have been more welcoming or helpful. Rooms were super comfortable and clean. Evening meal was excellent and the atmosphere was great. Breakfast was amazing, definitely not your average full english.

Lovely hotel combining old fashion charm with every modern convenience. Provided the little extras that are missing from some accommodation places. Delicious breakfast and lovely evening meals. Good sized room and friendly staff. Highly recommended. Would certainly stay again if ever in the area.

The oast was lovely, cosy and warm and well equipped. The double bed was very comfy particularly! There was an incredible array of games for children. Sharon was very kind to us as we had a poorly baby whilst there and she was very accommodating.

The room was beautiful, spacious and cosy. The food was excellent and they were great at communicating and really catered for food intolerances. Loved the family friendly and their garden is really refreshing and rural, in all weather. The spa area is clean, it feels prestigious and welcoming. Great gym equipment. But most of all the staff were helpful, professional but also really approachable.

Spacious main bedroom, had a lovely hot bath after a long dry. I could hear an owl in the nearby woods. Nice and dark at night. Highly recommended, also great for a family with children.

It’s clearly a superbly run family hotel! You can always tell, when the staff are happy and helpful, as they are at The Spa, then they love their work, and that shone through brightly, from the reception, to the rooms, to the spa, to the bar, and glows warmly on to the customers! Impressive throughout! Bravo!

Lovely setting & feeling of remoteness while still having all the facilities we needed close by, but not actually visible from the hut itself. It was quite an adventure for our young grandchildren (aged 5 &3) who loved hut, feeding the chickens and meeting Ant and Dec (the pigs) and the sheep. It was a great base for visiting Tunbridge Wells and Hever Castle and the hosts kindly accommodated us having a few family round for a bbq in the evening. Highly recommended !

The host was very amenable, we have a young daughter and he made sure that we could get into the apartment as soon as possible to get settled in (even though there had been guests the previous night), which we really appreciated. The apartment was perfect for my partner and our baby, and was in a brilliant location for us to visit family. The instructions for getting into the property were also very clear and helpful!
