Loved the old world feel and the quiet country atmosphere. The little house had everything you would need to stay and not have to go anywhere else. Loved the yard and river area put the back. Also there was nothing missed in the house to make your stay comfortable from games, books and even pantry items. Host was lovely and very helpful.

The Old Grammar has had a glow up and boy is it good. From the second we arrived Esther, Lauren and the team could not have been more helpful to us and our canine companion. Little touches like the freshly baked flapjacks and dogs treats for the pup go the extra mile and breakfast too is a cut above. We wished we had more time to enjoy the beautiful public rooms, terrace and garden but we loved it so much we have already booked our next stay. Fantastically located to enjoy clear views over the iconic racecourse the Old Grammar is an unbeatable base to enjoy the delights of Cartmel and the Lake District. Thanks very much to the OG team.
