We had a lovely big room and a lovely modern fresh bathroom with bath/shower. The beds were very comfortable. The room had been prepared by Sarah the house keeper and it was spotless. There was a restaurant so we had a evening meal, which was also good. The Breakfast was very good too with lots of options to choose from. We were on transit to the west and it was convenient to stop in the area, and the Downs Hotel was a great choice. It is a family pub, we arrive during the Quiz, and it was a very warm.
