United KingdomWe had the loveliest stay at Kipling Cottage over the festive period. Karin and her husband were really friendly and hospitable with some little touches that made the stay extra special whilst the cottage itself is so cosy.
We were drawn to the quriky aesthetic and beautiful grounds, which absolutely lived up to the photos. The spiral staircase took a bit of getting used to, but we found it really nice having separation between the bedroom/en suite and the rest of the living space. Kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal and the separate dining room is a nice space to eat in. TV is more than big enough and there's Sky so plenty of choice for what to watch whilst you cosy up. Bed was super comfy and loved the smell of the toiletries on offer. The cottage is well located with lots of beautiful countryside to explore nearby, and being able to stay with our dog was a bonus. All in all, couldn't have been a better stay and we'd definitely look to book Kipling Cottage again to make use of the summer house and cinema!

The place had everything we needed to rest, relax and eat between trips out to explore the local area - including Battle (ie of Hastings), the seaside at Bexhill and mountain biking at Bedgebury. The fireplace made everything cosy when we returned home (a bit cold and wet!). Tessa was very helpful and communicative with us before and during our stay. All in all, a great weekend. The accommodation was characterful, well maintained and very peaceful. The breakfast was excellent and sitting with fellow guests at the large farmhouse table each morning was good fun.
