I cannot ever remember giving a hotel a 10 rating. This hotel however deserves it. From the welcoming, friendly and extremely helpful staff, the spotlessly clean and fresh smelling rooms to the ample and good breakfast. Restaurant and bar prices very reasonable and location perfect for the weary traveller.

We booked a standard room for a single night to celebrate our anniversary. On arrival, we were told that we had been upgraded to a bigger room at the front desk. When we got to the room, we were so pleasantly surprised due to the beautiful features of the room. There was a beautiful star lit bath, kitchenette & living room suite downstairs and upstairs, the bathroom and bedroom. We had such a wonderful weekend & will be back in the near future to try the restaurant and spa facilities! Thank you for a lovely stay!!

Even though it's by the road it's so quiet, plenty of parking space , food is lovely and pulls a lovely pint of carling , plenty of outside seating areas back both sides of building and front , staff are nice and friendly and helpful loved it thanks guys x

Absolutely fantastic staff 😊 felt relaxed as soon as we stepped into the hotel Faith the receptionist was so helpful and professional , the food was fantastic and freshly prepared and cooked to perfection Gemma, Karen and all the staff were amazing and so helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them I would really recommend the Village Hotel to anyone either with children or not as they are fantastic at looking after families or couples or people on business trips. We will now be using the Village Hotel when ever we visit family again in the midlands 😊

A large spacious house that is very clean & had everything we needed. Excellent hosts with fantastic communication; thorough instructions to allow for easy check in and out, and nothing was too much for them. Very accommodating (providing fans last minute), everyday essentials and treats on arrival. Parking on the driveway for 2 cars. The garden is amazing… very big, well kept, plenty of seating and the Summer house is an added bonus - lovely space to relax & watch tv. On a separate note, the Dora City Chinese takeaway is well worth ordering from!

    My daughter and her bf stayed here for his 21st and they used hotel pool after coming out pool come out in skin rash and spots the room was very dirty and the hotel moved them room what was point they ended up leaving early due to feeling very uncomfortable from rash and spots and ruined his 21st bday !! I want refund hotel was overpriced dirty and disgusting

    Curtis at reception was amazing - so helpful and friendly. The venue was excellent for a family with young (8 year old) children and the atmosphere in the bar/restaurant was very friendly. The restaurant/bar staff went out of their way to help us recognise one of the boys birthday.

    Our 2 night visit was for a wedding being held at the venue. Every detail, start to finish, was exceptional. You could not hope to find better staff, at every level, or service, everyone, and every detail, was over and above. Very family friendly too with staff actively engaging with children and seemingly enjoying this.
