Everything. The location directly in the New Forest, the staff which was so kind and helpful, the rooms which have been entirely renovated, the restaurant for breakfast and supper, the huge garden in front of the hotel, the horses in the parking the morning of our departure (horses are free to go where they want in the New Forest).

Marianne and her partner were the friendliest, most helpful and considerate hosts, and the place itself was gorgeous — cosy, spotlessly clean, more spacious than the pictures suggest, and clearly put together with a lot of love. We would have loved to have stayed a bit longer to enjoy the comfort of Poppy’s lovely caravan. We really appreciated the welcoming pint of milk and yummy cookies that she provided for us. The location of the caravan is great and we enjoyed the quiet atmosphere around us. It was ideal for us as close to family living nearby.
