Exactly what we needed for a one night stop on our journey. Breakfast was good and despite being short staffed that day, the staff that were there did a great job. The family that run the hotel were so warm and welcoming. The food was great and they absolutely went out of their way to make our stay extra special. Highly recommend. The location is also beautiful. A gorgeous lake with lots of wildlife. My kids loved trying to spot all the wild rabbits. There was plenty of tea,coffee, milk and even a delicious cake on our arrival and biscuits for the children. Its these extras that make a difference when you have been in a car for two hours 😊 Hot tub was a great addition, we used it everyday and it was lovely too see the horses in the field next to us and say hello to them when we were with the owner. It had an en-suite bathroom and they accepted dogs. Breakfast was lovely each morning and relaxed. We ate at the pub both evenings and the portions were generous. The staff were polite and friendly. The lake/pond area at the back was lovely to walk round and stretch the dogs and kids legs. Very accommodating for dogs and children.
