We were originally looking for accommodation on the beach, but not finding anything reasonably priced and to our liking, we moved our search slightly inland. And we are glad we did! The communication prior to arrival and the warm and friendly welcome from the host and her staff make Villa Calliandra an absolute winner. The family enjoyed lazy afternoons by the pool and appreciated the breakfast options. In the evening, we were able to try the traditional tea with the house manager. Nearby are the monkey park and the Bijilo Beach which the kids really enjoyed.

Hello there, Thank you so much for having me in your wonderful hotel. I have enjoyed every single minute of my stay at Ocean Villa Heights hotel, the room was comfortable, shower fantastic, breakfast was great and food was brilliant. Many thanks to Abdullah, Bebe, Muhammad the security man, Malang, Mbassi and the energetic girls cleaning the rooms and hotel. Having stayed at several properties in both Senegal and Gambia for 3 weeks (two which were 'luxury'), I can only say Riyan Apartments was my favorite overall: great quality-price ratio, extremely friendly, flexible and helpful staff and I will surely stay there next time I go to Gambia as well as recommend it to friends and family (I already have!). It had a 'Melrose Place' feel to it, the 90's TV series. The bedroom A/C worked perfectly which was a true lifesaver at night. Thanks so much to Fatima and all the team!

    We just stayed here one day as we had a flight around midnight and needed an affordable room and pool to hang out. The hotel was a very positive surprise and we enjoyed our time here very much. Theresa was great to chat with and she even cooked meals for us. The room was large with comfy beds and the internet was faster than in some of the high-end hotels that we stayed at. Especially if you wanna stay longer somewhere without spending too much, this is a perfect option.

    The staff was amazing especially Mariama and the other girl who cook breakfast. It has a fan. Super clean. Room was big and the bathroom too. 15 walking from the beach. Managed by a local family and we did a tour to the market to buy groceries.
