I stayed at the hotel from June 28th to July 8th and was totally amazed. First of all, the professionalism of personnel, they all speak fluently English, German, Greek (of course) and occasionally other languages. I would like to thank all of them and especially Katerina who gave me the best room ever with the sea view, and always assisted in anything I asked for. All personnel is super friendly and it feels like you are a special guest. The hotel location is beautiful but a bit tough to get to from Heraklion by city bus. The driver missed the stop Sfakaki (you should tell him in advance where to stop and also remind). I traveled alone and didn't have a transfer, on the way back I had to order a private taxi which was a bit pricey. But other tourists especially from Germany had transfers (big bus that picked them up) depending on their tour agency agreements I guess. The room was very neat and clean, the ladies change towels once per 3 days and wash the floor every day that I didn't see in other hotels (that's bravo!). The sea was sometimes warm and sometimes cool depending on the wind direction. You should watch the color of the flag on the beach - green and yellow is OK with some waves, red - storm, you can't swim, the guard usually signals about that. But anyway the sea is wonderful. The food was good, I had HB, and I liked the dinners more because of meals variety. The drinks are served at separate price. There is a supermarket just 4 minutes walk from the hotel where you can find EVERYTHING from fresh fruits to women hygiene goods and children toys. Usually I bought white wine at the supermarket, one bottle 0.75l only 6 euro (White Sail), very delicious. And local beer is also nice. The beach bar offers delicious food also, I loved tuna salad and gyros pita (7 and 4 euros respectively). The beach is nice but the deckchair and the umbrella costs 5 euro per person.

I was surprised of how clean, modern and nice this property is. It is a family business and you can feel that through the warmth they treat each guest. The room was spacious and clean, with all the amenities that you need from an electric stove and sink to the toaster, coffee maker, kettle and all the cutlery, plates, pots and so on. The breakfast was splendid, with a large variety of foods that were changed daily so every single day we got to experience a few new tasty dishes for breakfast. 2 large pools and one smaller pool for the kids. The pool water was very warm and crystal clear with enough sunbeds and umbrellas. There is also a gym, a games room and the property offers free cold drinking water It was an amazing stay for me, my wife and our 1yr old baby.

A nice hotel that pleases with its quality as soon as you enter it. The check-in procedure is just great, I have never seen such service anywhere else. There is no need to stand in line for check-in, they take the documents and tell everything in detail about the hotels at the table with drinks. The overall impression of the hotel is very positive. The area is large, very clean, the food is delicious and varied, the children have their own table with healthy food. The private sandy beach is protected by a stone ridge, so it is still safe to swim there with children in strong winds and waves. The water park is suitable for all ages, both small and large. There are many rescuers who keep order. The hotel has a lot of staff and attention to guests, we did not stand in queues at the bar, the waiters worked quickly, everything is very clean. Free self-service laundry. I highly recomended this hotel for families with kids.

The last week of April we stayed with the whole family (7 persons) in the Velvet Breeze Villa in Stavromenos. It was a great experiens. A marvellous house, a splendid garden, a lovely swimmingpool and a amazing vieuw. Maria was amazing!! She brought us cake when we arrived even though it was early hours of the morning, she gave us suggestions for places to eat, she even organised our taxi to the airport. Marias apartments were clean and had everything we needed, with Maria just a message away if we needed anything. Maria was also kind enough to let us stay at the apartment on our last day until our taxi arrived to take us to the airport, even though we had a late flight. Thank you Maria, from all of us for an amazing stay in Crete xx

    Nice hotel on a beautiful place, kind and helpful staff. The bathroom should be renovated, but the room was good and clean. Food was OK, but not too varied for children. I enjoyed the stay here, would definitely recommend. :)

    It was such a nice place and Andreas who owned it was super nice and really made our stay extraordinary. He made sure to help us with everything we needed and also asked us every day how we were and if we needed anything. The apartment was sooooooo affordable and priceworthy! You got more than you paid for. When going back to Crete we will make sure to come back to Almyra Apartments & Suites! Thank you Andreas 🌸

    Villa is well-suited for families, has a lot of different places to hang out, whirlpool with ocean view is awesome, balconies to watch the sunset, location is really good with 5min walk to beach, super market and tavernas. Highlight were the hosts, supplied us daily with food from their restaurant, bread, cookies or breakfast from the bakery
