Super friendly staff and some of the tastiest food ever in Indo. We didn’t do any of the multitude choices of snorkeling or dive trips because we had just done a liveaboard. Will, the director, very accommodating and helpful. There is a reef of sorts out front with nice big fish, some surviving coral. People have spotted turtles and manta but I wasn’t lucky. Lots of beaches fringing the island and another couple walked and snorkelled their way half way around. There is a small shop selling beer and biscuits. So beautiful!

Friwen Mangrove was absolutely the best place we stayed in Raja Ampat! It is a pretty new place. The owner, Rachid, did an amazing job. The water bungalows are very luxurious and comfortable with an amazing view. He has Starlink, so good wifi 7/24. Thanks to solar panels he put, we had electric 7/24 as well. Famous Friwen Wall is just across the bungalows which is a super plus. The surrounding reefs are also beautiful. Rachid organizes very nice excursions as well to many places. And the food - literally the best food we had in RA. Lots of varities for lunch and dinner, plus the nice & fun conversations. We had the best time thanks to his warm hospitality. Must stay place.

Closeness to nature, which is still unspoiled. Lots of birds, fishes and ofcourse the marine life that is easy accessible from PapuArts Alter Native Stay. Family feeling; easily to feel at home with this lovely family of four (Helga, Timon and their 2 beautiful young daughters who love to make friends). Oh, and I forgot their two sweet dogs Ringo & Dingo 🐾🐾 Owners are very helpful and speak several languages so easy to communicate with them. Internet is sometimes a bit unstable so take that into account when expecting speedy replies (sometimes it just doesn’t work and patience is a good thing to have). The food - home style cooking (breakfast, lunch and dinner are all cooked by the owner and her team and she is a great cook; we loved every meal which was perfectly catered to our vegetarian / pescatarian wishes) The rooms are close to nature as well, with very comfy beds (we stayed in both the smaller and the biggest family room, which easily fits 3 respectively 4 people; the 3rd bed in the smaller room has a wonderful treehouse feeling and there is a bunkbed in the biggest room). Hard to capture the beauty of the rooms in just one picture (I took several but could only post one here with my review). You can hear the sea and birds from your bedroom. It’s right next to you. No frills, just natural materials, which we loved. Also no warm water, but easily to get used to. There’s a shower and mandi style shower. Also your own toilet. Plus the blue blue sea right at your doorstep and a lovely sitting area with a hammock to complete the zen-feeling. There’s a long jetty into the sea with a perfect spot for exercise/meditation/yoga at the end. Fitness with a view! It’s quiet and feels very private. You instantly feel relaxed here. Different excursions to choose from, both on land and on/under the sea. Please note: these come at an extra cost and Raja Ampat area is not cheap!!!! The homestay is idyllic and secluded. We were right on the water, the porch is nicely decorated, there's a table and chairs so in the evenings we could easily play cards. In the day, if we weren't diving with Corepen (they come and collect you and drop you off), we would snorkel on the coral reef in front of the homestay which is fantastic! We saw a turtle, ray, squid, clown fish, a shark etc. All three meals are included and Lina's cooking is amazing. We would eat fresh fish everyday. Portion size is very generous so you won't be going hungry. Lina and Arnes are so kind and gentle hosts we couldn't recommend this more. Their English is very limited so just make sure you download a translator app if you don't have data (there's no WiFi). The amenities are basic and you get electricity from around 6:30pm-10:30pm but for us, this only added to its charm. When we passed other homestays, we were always grateful for picking Efenli.

Destin and Ina were great hosts. Food was great, location awesome with great snorkeling right there. Running shower and toilet was an added bonus.

Herman and his family are wonderful people. They took care of us like we were their family. The lady cooked for us and her pancakes were famous. Everything we wanted to see, Herman took us there. We felt safe with them.

It was the best homestay I’ve been in my month in raja ampat. They are professional and they thought of many importants détails to make your stay comfortable. They had healthy options for the meals. They have a great communication and answer your questions, need and boat trip organization very fast.

We came to raja ampat to dive. The days in Raja Ampat is the most unforgettable vacation I've ever had, and the stay at Nyande was just beyond my expectation. Both in the facilities and the price performance. Upon arrival the bungalows and the elevated restaurant impressed me, you can just tell how meticulous the owner was and how much efforts he has paid in designing his place. Rooms were comfortable, food was nice. What significantly added to the value is the beautiful house reef and the mangrove tree at the middle of the rooms. Simply going snorkeling will get you stunned with the beautiful corel and many fishes. And the mangrove had surprises in store (we saw a big, color-changing cuttlefish under it, just as what we saw on tv). Going diving was also conviently arranged with nearby dive shops at reasonable price. I came here after a 10-day stay at a well-know resort in Gam Island. I'd confidently say Nyande is no less (or even more) amazing than that resort which is twice the price of Nyande. I won't write so much unless I truly feel pleased or even grateful to a place where I spent a few days. And Nyande and its owner Andy was definitely worthwhile me doibg so!

This homestay on Besir island is ideally located near several interests spots in Raja Ampat. The place is calm, only two cabins on the water, connected to a village full of charm. The utilities are on the beach, near the owner's house. It's very clean and has everything required to answer basic needs. Regarding the rooms, mosquito net on the bed, fan, electricity at night, blankets, hammock, sunbed and basic furnitures. All the meals (included in the reservation) are served to your cabin, they vary and are prepared by an great cook! So everything is tasteful and good. No connection except if you get a SIM card on arrival at Sorong's airport but deconnection is great. It's easy to communicate with the owner who speaks well English (rare in Raja Ampat) and he tries his best for you to have the best stay possible. Him and his family are super nice and welcoming while respecting your privacy. I came with a friend and we stayed 3 full days, we had an amazing time there and we can only recommend this place. All the activities we've done through them were memorable, we had a lot of fun. Have a good holiday there!
