The Homestay is very clean, the bed is big and comfortable. İt is situated only 8 minutes walking distance from the port. The owner and host, Kadek, was taking very well care of us. My friend was sick when we arrived, and his uncle drove her to the doctor. They took care of us like we were family. He also gave us lots of good advice for our further trip and drove us to the port. İ highly recommend Green Merta 😊

We loved river island and would definitely come back. We had a very authentic, homely and warm experience. The family that own and run River Island went to great lengths to ensure that we enjoyed our stay. Nothing was too much trouble for them. It is set in beautiful natural surroundings right on the river which we swam in every day. The food at the restaurant was delicious and very fresh. We were sad to leave and are already looking forward to our next stay.

    It was a hidden gem, absolutely beautiful place, we had the most amazing time with family. Very friendly hosts. Would definitely recommend this place and also their local restaurant served amazing food just a 5 minute walk away.

    The people who made a difference. To name a few; Eric who makes the best cappuccino in the Southern hemisphere - he collects and roasts the beens himself, Nany who runs that team with grace and Bombom always ready for good advice. The excellent value for money. The rooms are very functional. The nice pool and the view. Located in an area where the two beaches (Blue Lagoon for snorkeling and Virgin beach) and many worthwhile visiting temples and rice fields are rather close.

    Esacpe is the best word to describe it. a calm and nice place to relaxe after some busy days in Ubud or Canggu. I would recommend it.
