Mr Bloom is very nice guy, who helped us out a lot. Gave us recommendations. Rooms are big , clean and there’s hot water. Dropped us of at the local bus stop and made sure we took the right bus.

The apartment has a large living room, kitchen, water point and balcony. The place is made special by Marin, fluent in English and a warm personality who makes you feel at home and really helps you with everything you need (transport, getting scooters and directions). She also runs a restaurant downstairs from the apartment (no noise at all) and you really do not want to go anywhere else for breakfast. Delicious, also for lunch and dinner.

Great location, the ferry drops off directly at the hotel’s private jetty. Walkable to many restaurants in Tuk Tuk area. Great Lake and mountain views from the rooms. The hotel arranged car for airport pick up and drop off from Medan (KNO) at affordable price. The hotel also arranged motorbike rental for us. Massage service was also great. Enjoyed breakfast buffet, food items changed daily. Rooms are spacious.

The apartment is very comfy and has a beautiful view of the mountains. Bed is nice. Sophie was really welcoming and let us check out late with no problem. We left around 12 but she offered us to stay past that.

- Dimmer is a fantastic host. He picks us up his guests at the piers and answers every question you may have. - The place is well situated, just outside Tuktuk main area. - We had a room in the garden, the bed is comfortable and it is quiet at night. - Kettle and fridge in the room. - Good wifi. - Possibility to rent a scooter. There are in good conditions and with a full tank. - Good restaurant next door, for your breakfast. We'll book here again if we visit again Samosir island.

Jojo and Franz were both so welcoming, friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived. The hotel is spotlessly clean and in such a beautiful, peaceful location on the lake. We ate within the on-site restaurant and the food was absolutely delicious every time. We hope to come back to visit again in the future!

We felt in love with lake Toba and we were lucky to enjoy it even more at this place. If you are looking for a private, calm, chill place - yes this is it! The apartment is perfectly located in a green, hidden area in front of the lake. Every morning and evening we enjoyed beautiful views and were swimming in the lake just few steps from the apartment. Being for two months in Indonesia it was a first place with such a big space and different shells, tables, clothes hangers, tables etc The hot shower was very good. The kitchen is well equipped, there is a fridge and you can easily cook your own meals. The vegetarian/vegan restaurant that Ali has was very good too. We enjoyed delicious guacamole with sourdough bread and avocado juice. There is a big avocado tree in the garden according to one local woman Ali’s avocados are best on the island :) Ali is friendly and very helpful. We extended our stay twice :) Would love to come back !
