The location of Jungle Hut was really special - quiet, near to nature and with fantastic views. Staff were all great and keen to help us enjoy our stay to the full. There were lots of activities on offer, from bird-watching to a trip into the Tiger Reserve. The room was very comfortable and well equipped. We stayed in one of the luxury tents, which really made us feel like we were on safari! There was a lovely sense of privacy, as the huts and tents were well spread out around the resort. Food was wonderful, lots of variety and high quality - we ate well every day and for every meal. The whole atmosphere felt adventurous, yet safe. We felt we were staying within a local context, as opposed to a faceless international resort.

My best time in India! I am deeply grateful for Kumar and his staff for hosting me. I came to India for a wedding and wanted to see some wildlife in Masinagudi. Staying with Kumar was the perfect climax of my trip. I don’t know what was best: The food? The warm-hearted hospitality? The nice and clean rooms? The great safaris with Kumar‘s friend Daniel? Everything was just great! Since I work in the luxury hospitality, I know how to appreciate a lovely hotel and genuine hospitality. The best place to stay in Masinagudi. Loved the location and the ambience of the place. It is very quiet and peaceful, surrounded by Nilgiri hills on one side and the Masinagudi forest. The staff and the caretaker were very good, very friendly and they took care of us very well.

The staff were very welcoming and helpful particularly Aldrin who made sure we had all we needed in the hotel and always responded quickly when we asked for help. Radhakrishna, the manager, was very knowledgeable about the wildlife in the surrounding reserve and provided us with an excellent early morning guided tour. He went out of his way to ensure we had the best experience possible even running over time by an hour to maxmise our chances of encountering some of the more illusive larger mammals. The gardens at the hotel were so beautiful and peaceful and the perfect place to rest after the excitement.

It is a Serene and nice place. Well looked after place. You would not expect a plush room / facility in the middle of no where. The staff are eager to serve you and make your stay as pleasent as possible. A bonfire was setup for our group. Dinner served around the bonfire. Little things like this made the experience great.

It’s located away from the roads, gives a feel of almost living in the forest. The host is very friendly, the staff are quite knowledgeable about the birds and animals around the region and give excellent recommendations. We went with two little girls, and they had as much an enjoyable trip as adults.

An excellent and very well run hotel situated in the quiet leafy green heights of Ooty but within walking distance of the town. We were pleasantly surprised by all the facilities they offered. The whole hotel is absolutely spotless and very quiet. The food is delicious. Staff were very kind and helpful. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
