What a beautiful place to stay, and Gabriella is such a lovely host. We came to the L'Aquila region to visit family. We were originally going to stay in L'Aquila and are so glad we decided to stay in Fontecchio at this B&B. We were having some issues with calling family and Gabriella was helpful in connecting us to them. Such an beautiful area of Italy! It was a refreshing way to spend a couple of days outside of the tourist regions. The view and overall area were amazing! The included breakfast at the main house was lovely.

All you need for breakfast is provided and filled up every day by our lovely host Claudia. La Torre is perfect starting point for hiking and sightseeing in the fantastic nature around. What a unique hotel high up in the mountains in a 16th century abandoned village. The floors and ceilings are original with comfortable beds made of wool. Modern bathrooms though. Lovely soap and oil in the bathroom. Staff were fantastic. The restaurant was rustic. We also enjoyed the extra activity of truffle hunting. The separate bar was also excellent
