The rifugio, which is an ex monastery, is very well and thoughtfully renovated, and located a bit out of the town. We enjoyed staying in a really unique room which inspired us to think about the history of this place, their inhabitants, nuns and monks. The owner is very nice and helpful, she took time to show us the old church and explained the history of the property. Close to the monestary there is a wonderful, even mystical garden full of lavandas, rosemarin, roses and other Mediterranean plants. Also the breakfast was delicious and served in an antique dinning room. Everything was super clean. We spent wonderful time in the rifugio and if comming back to Cividale, we will definitely choose again to stay here. If you like historical places and like to try something unusual, this place is worth trying.

This was one of the best traveling experiences. The hosts were exceptional. Francesca and her husband put a lot of effort and care for their guests. You will feel like at home. Francesca is hospitality at it's best, always there in the right moment and in true caring way, in the same time you can enjoy all the peace of natural enviroment located just few minutes away from beautiful city centre of Cividale. If you are little more on an active side, Francesca's husband will give you all the clues and options that are waiting just around the corner- hiking, road biking, mountain biking etc. We took a nice morning bike ride through Faedis, Canebola and Masarolis. The nature all around is spectacular and roads are not busy. Cividale and its surroundings offers a lot: nature and sport, historical places and bars and restaurants. At least three days would be best to get something of everything, but with Francesca's smile and her coffee you wish you would never leave. Visited a lot of places in Italy and this is a true gem.

The whole building and rooms are spotless and spacious. Located centrally in the old medieval city, close to free parking, the buzzing central market and the river (for a beautiful long walk). The welcome by the host was warm and open.

Everything was very convenient. The host promptly responded to our phone call, met us to hand over the keys, gave us a tour of the property, and explained everything thoroughly. After that, our privacy was fully respected. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the bathroom was generously sized. The air conditioning system was impeccable! If you wanted to turn the apartment into a cool, relaxing, dim retreat after a hot and sunny day in the city, this was the perfect place to do it. :) The location was a major plus, as it was close to everything we needed, all within a 1 to 8-minute walk. There was even a free parking lot just a minute away on foot! An amazing pizza place in the same building (on the outside corner) made our evenings, along with a very cozy coffee bar just 10 meters away!
