Very nice, clean and good room for a family of four persons. (2 adults, 2 kids 10 and 12 years old) For us it was a perfect size of room. Nice bathroom, nice beds, and nice clean architecture. The pool was nice. And the view over the vineyards, the olive trees and Monte Doglia was perfect! Good classic Italian breakfast, good coffee. The host and his staff are great and very warm and welcoming! They have two sweet and calm labrador dogs that our kids fell totally in love with! Can really recommend this place if you look for a calm and nice place to stay when you explore the region around Alghero etc.

very nice area, silence, nice garden, animalns on the farm.... just relax. we spend only one night before flight departure. our flight was at 8:00 in the mornining, walking distance with children is 25minutes which is very comfortable. since we had to wake up very early we couldnt go for normaln breakfast, but lady brought us all prepared to the room already in the evening, very nice.

Residence La Fontana dei Desideri is in the countryside of Mamuntanas, 5 km from Alghero's city centre and beaches. It offers large gardens, an outdoor pool, and free parking.

Stefania is a great host - friendly, easy communication, flexible, helpful. The apartment is very nice (a bit dark during the day but cool on hot days), the pool is perfect, breakfast is good, the location is fantastic (so close to Alghero, but still in nature with a lot of birds, butterflies, frogs, etc on the agrotourismo ground). Facilities are great, nothing was missing for our 6 day stay with the baby.

Despite the fact that our ferry was late and we arrived at 2 am, we checked in without any problems!!! We have arrived on the island and stayed at the place of wonderful people. We felt like home there. The Alfonso family was very kind to us and giving recommendations regarding our holidays. The breakfast was very tasty and nutritious! Also we could eat the fresh seasonal vegetables and fruits there! The area around apartments is green and huge! The evening sky is full of stars! There are many beaches nearby to suit every taste! and many places for hiking with unforgettable landscapes! This is a wonderful place with a large area, picturesque views and wonderful hospitable people! It was unforgettable!

This place is unique. The renovation of the old barracks, the location, views and respect for its place in an ecologic park make for a beautiful, relaxing, bespoke experience. The staff are so warm and friendly always happy to help & guide but also give you space. Simone, Doris and the team really make you feel welcome. I commend them for trying to offer high quality alternative low impact tourism. The food is excellent, locally sourced, probably the best in Alghero. The rooms are well appointed too. The rifugio is in the ecological protected site so the only neighbours you have are birds, foxes, plants and trees. It's a good walk up from the carpark about 40 mins but there is an electric shuttle bus. We used bikes to get around which was simple and a great way to explore. There are gorgeous little quiet coves for swimming in the park you get them to yourselves. If you are the sort of person who enjoys being independent, nature, walking, cycling, good architecture and food then this is certainly a great place to stay. If you prefer lying by a pool and and being near facilities then I would recommend coming the the restaurant at least once to see what you think. The rifugio is in its first year, I suspect it will become very popular indeed.
