This 100 year old house has been lovingly restored by its owner. The house is huge, immaculately clean, and has everything you need for your stay. The owner is very kind, gracious, and extremely helpful. The house itself is located less than a 5 minute walk to the main shopping street, close to the music box museum. A multitude of good restaurants are in the area, and it's a short walk to the canal.

The location was perfect, by the canal and the train station. Nice to have a bath tub. Lovely staff.

I stayed there mainly because the bus to the ski resort stopped right in front. So for the convenience, it was perfect. I loved that the toilet and the shower were separate. The bathroom was spacious. Restaurants, konbini and the Otaru Station was minutes away by foot (altho it might be slightly challenging to walk from the station with snow and luggage). Coin laundry on site was a sure plus.

The onsen was really nice. We particularly enjoyed the outdoor onsen in the hotel - what can be more lovely to enjoy the onsen while staring the stars! The hotel is also very close to the Asari Ski Resort, which makes the hotel a perfect place for ski lovers.
