The property was very easy to find. The host was super helpful in helping us park the car. He was very friendly and offered us some delicious corn tea. Spoke to us in excellent English and had handmade maps with recommendations. My friends and I went during winter so there heaters on every floor. The blankets for the futon were so warm. The kitchen was fully stocked in cooking utensils which were helpful when making food. There were places where we could hangout outside too!

I was traveling with my bicycle and the staff was very accommodating and helpful about storing it. Apart from that, the hotel, location, amenities, etc were all excellent.

Everything was gorgeous. From the entry to the koi pond, and the room itself was breathtaking.

The very best Ryokan, I've ever stayed in. The staffs were friendly and very helpful. Room was super comfy with a private outdoor bath, very spacious. There were 10 private onsens to choose from, which required no reservation, and also public onsens situating indoor and outdoor to enjoy. The buffet breakfast and especially dinner were outstanding with a great variety, including beef yakiniku, steaks, free-flow beers, what a delicacy! Worth every Yen spent. There were also gashapons, claw machine games, table tennis to enjoy, and a small mini mart to shop from. We enjoyed every minute of our stay. Definitely with recommend this place, and will visit again, cheers!

After a day of sightseeing Mt.Aso to return to Kamenoi resort's hot spring spa was refreshing. Our room was quiet and comfortable with a nice mountain view. The hotel's "Bold" kitchen's buffet for breakfast and dinner was very delicious. All hotel and restaurant staff were so nice.

The host was extremely welcoming and caring, drove us to the local supermarket, the bicycle rental and to the train station - what well (over)compensates for the location that is a bit off. Communication works quite well with the available apps.

Outstanding service, amazing food (dinner and breakfast included, both multi course exquisitely prepared works of art!) , facilities were lovely (private onsen), very comfortable bed, wonderful stay.

The property was situated perfectly across from Mt Aso. Had the clouds not been in the way we would have views during check-in, during dinner, from our outdoor hot springs and from the observation deck, the weather was uncooperative and we missed out on the view but did not take away from the location of the hotel itself.
