This was the ryokan experience I was looking for, in a modern setting. From the moment we pulled the car in the parking lot until the moment we left, omotenashi was the key word. Our room was super clean and had a great view over lake Hamana. The onsen had a similar view as well from the open air bath. The staff was very friendly and professional. Breakfast was excellent and in the neighbourhood you'll find small restaurants offering the local specialty: unagi. The large majority of the staff only speaks Japanese, this wasn't a problem for me as I speak a fair bit of Japanese, but keep your translation app at the ready if you don't.

Perfect accommodation for families. Good equipment, comfortable. We enjoyed the games in the shared living area.

The view was perfect (big panoramic window) I loved waking up to the view of the ocean! Room was big enough. Toilet was spacious. It’s not very new - but it had this old school vibe- I like it. Staff was very nice. I recommend it!
