Dog friendly. Well equipped. Clean. The dog run was such a treat. It’s big and well maintained. Facilities were modern and clean. Beautiful traditional Japanese home that has been refurbished with modern toilet, shower, bath and even an outdoor onsen. Parking onsite. I was granted a late check in at 10pm due to a late arrival. We used it as a base to explore the Setonaikai Park. The home was very conveniently smacked in the middle of all the different islands with easy access to the mainland in the north (Hiroshima) and south (Ehime)

I did an overnight stop during Shimanami Kaido and enjoyed my stay with Onzo. Amenities were provided (toothbrush, floss, hairbrush, shampoo,…) which is nice so you don’t have to carry on the bike. The bed was comfy and everything was clean. Very good value for money

Amazing place! Amazing people! If you’re looking for a place to stay for 4 or 6 people - look no further. We’ve been travelling for 25 days in Japan with our family of 4 and this has been our best experience. We arrived after riding our bikes all day and were greeted by the hosts with hot orange juice, tips on where to get food and even got a lift to get take out as they informed us the best restaurants might be closing soon. Our kids even got a present in the morning. Everything in the room is thought out - the bunk beds are bigger than normal with power outlets. There are Imabari towels. The showerhead is glorious. There is a lot more space then the pictures give away and you wake up with amazing sea view. If you’re doing the Shimanami Kaido or are looking for a place near the beach - stay here.

I arrived late by cycling around 7pm. The road it self was quite dark with no street light. Meaning location wise if u are going to check-in late, better mindful to reach early. It was kind enough that the staff willing to wait for me. He was super friendly and I had a good time.

We spent two nights here-- good shower, well-heated rooms, excellent location, and an absolutely darling host. She made us dinner reservations and dropped everything to help us make phone calls when we were looking for a missing item. Felt like staying with my own grandmother!

I was pleased with almost everything during my stay here, but the special dinner course exceeded all expectations. The seasonal dishes, utilizing Hiroshima's local produce, were a true work of art and would rival those of a Michelin-starred restaurant. SetodaAzumi hotel should be proud to have such a fine chef.

Stayed here while biking the Shimanami Kaido, it was an exceptional experience. One of the best of our whole Japan trip! Definitely would recommend.
