The room was very clean, spacious by Japanese standards, and offered serene traditional atmosphere blended seamlessly with modern conforms. There was a terrace with a beautiful view adding on to the comfort of the room. The dinner was traditional Japanese-style and for sure it should not be missed! The multi-course kaiseki meal was beautifully presented and very delicious, including fresh, local, seasonal ingredients. The hotel's location is good for visiting the Itsukushima Torii (Water gate) as it is just one station away from it but at the same time away from the madness of the island.

Fantastic place to stay, the rooms were lovely and very traditional, and having dinner and breakfast included as part of the stay are truly wonderful additions to the experience. The hotel lays on a perfect distance from the ferry, but in the nicer quieter area. We had a spacious room with a view on the sea and pier. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the dinner and breakfast very much. Relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. The public bath (onsen) is also available. Everything is there. They make your bed during your dinner.

While it’s just a 10 minutes walk there’s a bus well marked right by the station that takes you there. Great view over the bay. Half-board was very well served. Good bed, spacious room. Good toiletries. Staff supportive. Bus driver very friendly. :-) Spend enough time on island and do a hike there up to Mt. Misen.
