We had an amazing time at Voketto! The family room/separate house was handmade, cozy, comfortable, and had a well-equipped kitchen. The surroundings are beautiful, with lots to explore. But the best part of this place is the incredible host! After a delicious meal, we had some really interesting conversations and got to enjoy some very special traditional music. At the end, we were recommended an awesome tea ceremony! We’d come back to Voketto anytime and really wish we could’ve stayed longer. Totally recommended!

The hosts were wonderful, taking their time to explain everything in detail. The sauna, available for a small additional fee, is absolutely worth it. The setting is beautiful, perfect for enjoying nature and family time. The facilities are excellent, offering everything you might need, including a water purifier. You can also watch Disney and Netflix on a big projector from a cozy sofa, which was perfect for our rainy evening. The highlight of my stay was getting a tattoo. Reina is an exceptional artist. We chatted, she showed her portfolio, and the next morning she created/placed my tattoo. She was incredibly flexible and accommodating. If you're looking for a local artist who specializes in fine line tattoos, Reina is the one to see!

Dinner and breakfast were delicious and of good portion. We were very satisfied with the food, the experience of being welcomed by a very kind and friendly Japanese family, traditional way of sleeping on futons inside a mosquito net, and the joy of visiting their tea farm and factory. The owner helped prepare for hot bath with mineral onsen power which was super relaxing. They took the time to explain about tea harvesting, brewing and products. The cats were super sweet and polite. We met the owner's grand children the following morning and they are so cute too. The personal and family element made our stay here special and ended up making it stand out from all the other nights in modern hotels during our trip in Japan.
