The room had an awesome view of the garden. Loved the illuminations, they were lovely. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful and some spoke English. I would like to thank Sendai Royal Park Hotel for receiving my package in advance & helped me pay for the cash on delivery package first before my arrival. I couldn't thank them enough, they made my stay so enjoyable. The bed is comfy, the room is clean, customer service is impeccable! It is a beautiful hotel if you wish to chill & enjoy the quietness, & visit Sendai Ice Skating Rink (Yuzuru Hanyu's training rink) which is pretty near to the hotel. The ryokan stands alone on a hill overlooking part of Akiu. It was perfect for us because we drove. The inside of the ryokan was neat and clean. Staff were warm and helpful. The room we stayed was big, clean and comfortable. Dinner was Japanese style with high quality fish and beef. The whole dinner set was more than enough for us. The buffet breakfast was also fine. The onsen was good, both the open air and the indoor ones. There are relaxation areas in the complex for a drink. Though we stayed in the ryokan in June when the surrounding was green, we still could imagine the beauty of the ryokan in spring and autumn for cherry blossom and maple leaves respectively.

Very nice and warm welcome! Able to book for their shuttle from Sendai Station through booking.com chat. Easy communication! Room was extremely spacious and nice! The indoor and outdoor onsen is also nice! Food was good as well. The souvenir shop had quite variety of items to buy too!

This ryokan style hotel was one of our best experiences in Japan. The views over the islands of Matsushima were superb - truly one of the 3 great views of Japan! Our room overlooked the famous Fukuurabashi bridge through a picturesque screen of the twisted pine trees that make this view so iconic. The kaiseki style meals were superb - delicious and beautifully presented. Each dish was a delight of discovery, awe and wonder. We enjoyed a private onsen bath with sunset views and also visited each of the other public baths over the next day. The views over the bay are simply stunning.
