I wish we had more time to spend in Naoshima and Juju Art House! It’s a real pleasure to explore the house. The owners managed to blend a super homey feel with Japan tradition and hip. In addition to that the location is super convenient and the owners very responsive and helpful. We loved it!

words cannot being to make this place justice. if you have the chance to stay here—do it. in a small island off the coast of naoshima, the most stunning restored japanese house, filled with art, records, insanely beautiful furniture, and the most comfortable beds you can imagine which are a dream after a long day of biking around the nearby islands. every room in yota's house is a universe on its own—we could have stayed forever exploring all the magazines and listening to all the CDs and records, and eating all the delicious food! every dinner dish was so flavorful and delicious, it was by far one of the best meals of my life and the highlight of my trip to japan. my friend and i will cherish these memories forever. thank you so much yota-san!

The family was incredibly helpful coming for me to the island, helping me with my itinerary the next day and even bringing me some lunch box when they realize I travelled to an isolated area. The house had a beautiful garden and I slept in a big room with a closet and a bathroom just for me. The breakfast had plenty of local food and I couldn’t even finished it!! and they even provide snacks and a cold bottle of water at night.

A beautiful and spacious house not far from the port to Naoshima. The host picked us up at the train station and took us back there at the end of our stay - exceptional service. The house was retro, perfectly presented and had two large bedrooms with both western and tatami beds. The hosts kindly set up a cot and put a child seat on an e-bike to accommodate the child in our group. Free bikes (3 e-bikes and regular pedal bikes) were available in the shed. Local udon and sushi restaurants were great. It’s a short cycle to the port to the art islands and we were able to take the bikes on the ferry to explore the islands. Recommend for a home-like stay. Thank you for your fantastic hospitality!

This is simply the best place we stayed at during our three weeks stay in Japan. We fell in love with the place and the Island — so peaceful. Kentaro has been so nice with us, he cooked the most delicious meals and we enjoyed so much our conversations. Everything was perfect, and I hope to be back.

The house was incredibly cozy and had everything you could need during your travels. Naoko was a wonderful host — warm, kind, and exceptionally helpful. Both she and her husband went above and beyond to make me feel welcome, showing a level of care and affection I will always remember.
