This ryokan is about as fancy as you can get. It is not in town and required a taxi or shuttle to get there; fortunately they provide a free shuttle but it's on a schedule. Because it's on a hill above the city, it's peaceful and the view is fantastic. The service was friendly and helpful and they spoke English. Signs and information were in English. The room rate included meals for which this ryokan is well known. The meals were exquisite, traditional food artistically prepared. We didn't try the public bath, but it looked clean and was empty. In the waiting area for the public bath, there were massage chairs and foot massage machines that were wonderful after a day of walking around the city. The room had a soaking tub we enjoyed. We felt pampered.

The hotel is of a good design, beautiful interior. The stuff was very polite and prepared breakfast tickets, though there were initially included in the plan but fit the price as they said. It was a nice surprise! The room was very clean, the bathroom has a comfortable bathtab with jacousie and a TV. The location is very close to the bus stop to go from and to the airport. Nearby small local restaurants and bars in that area. Convenient to go for a drink in the evening!

Our room had the most amazing view over the Nagasaki city and it became even more magical after night falls. We booked the standard Japanese styled rooms so had the futon beds but they were surprisingly comfortable. Bathroom was big and clean. Love our stay here.
