Great place for a large family or group of friends. Wish we had stayed longer so we could take advantage of the sauna and the fire pit. Wonderful to see the sun rise over the sea in the morning. Very clean and all you need for a self catering stay. The futons were very comfy.

Stopped here for the night after a long and tiring day's bike riding in the mountains. Lovely little basic log cabin by a gurgling stream. Two bunk beds, a sink and an enclosed toilet outside on the verandah. As there are no restaurants or shops nearby, the kind and chatty receptionist, who speaks very good English, went to great lengths to get me a microwaveable curry and rice for my dinner and made me a bento style breakfast, so I could make an early start in the morning. Above and beyond!

I cannot praise Sorayama Guesthouse highly enough! The family who run the guesthouse are absolutely wonderful and very kind, always happy to go out of their way to help you out and recommend cool things to see in the area. The location is absolutely stunning and the newly renovated house is beautiful. We actually stayed in multiple rooms as we extended our stay and every one we stayed in was so comfortable and relaxing. There is also the option to have breakfast (¥800) and dinner (¥2000) provided for you. We had each multiple times and is was always delicious and well balanced. I can't wait to come again!
