Breakfast was an incredible cultural experience, and the guided tour of the townhouses and shopping street gave me a historic context of Otsu that I didn’t know. The coffee bar with snacks and daily free aperitiv was wonderful. Awesome to have an old wellpoint in the building!

In room onsen was fantastic. Beautiful views of the lake. Friendly staff. Beautiful food for both dinner and breakfast. Public onsen was also excellent. One of us couldn't attend the public onsen due to extensive tattoos, but the option of a private onsen circumvented this issue.

The hotel was beautiful and I enjoyed the four different onsens in there. A few of the onsens (indoor) were a little on the older side, but the outdoor rock pool was spectacular. The facilities were really great. Dinner was really high quality food, although I felt a bit rushed. The breakfast buffet was spectacular.

The guesthouse is beautifully decorated and mostly self-built by the host couple. They offered a free welcome drink and we could play pool for free. The rooms are anime themed which also was pretty cool. The host couple was very welcoming and helpful. They really went out of their way for us.

The lake view is superb. Room is very clean and spacious.

It was very nice. Rooms were extremely spacious. Food was delicious. Staff was very friendly. Onsen in the adjacent hotel is excellent and worth visiting, for a small fee.

The owner was extremely friendly and adaptable to my situation, she was very kind and even let me keep my bags at the property ling after checkout time so that I could explore more of kyoto. The beds are comfortable as well as the toilet and shower facilities.
