Hiroshi-san was an amazing host! :D He made sure we had everything we need and felt comfortable when we arrived, then very generously made dinner for us as well. He's very warm and a great conversationalist with amazing humour, talking with him was probably what I enjoyed the most about our stay. Hosting aside, the place was very clean and well prepared. It's a Japanese style house that had some really pretty wooden decor. (I do really enjoy old furniture :D) The room was comfortable and warm, he had towels and other amenities prepared as well. We were also invited to his cafe for breakfast the next day, which turned out to be lovely! I'd definitely recommend staying here especially if you like meeting new people. Hiroshi-san seem like he really enjoyed hosting and would make sure you have the best time you can there.

This booking exceeded our expectations. We had the whole house to ourselves which was lovely after a long day of hiking. We had a big bedroom with futon beds, a small hallway with seating opportunities In front of big windows. There is a kitchen which is well equipped and they even had a bag with free rice, some curry bags and instant coffee. That was perfect to supplement our own food. The location is great just by the ocean. We were sorry to only have one night here so we would definitely come back.

We loved the location, the cleanliness, the host communication and especially things like the small touches - fresh local orange juice, fresh local sorbets and more. The bathroom had wonderful shower and bath with great pressure. We could not fault it for a lovely stay in Ainan.

Rosie was incredibly welcoming and had a lot of wonderful advice for local activities. The house was spacious and comfortable. The kitchen was fantastic! Very peaceful location, great to relax in nature

I had a good night's rest in this Guest House in Iburi, after a long hiking trek from Shimanto City. The bed was comfortable with plenty of room for my things and the facilities were neat and clean. The shared area had a homely feel to it with free hot drinks provided. Also a bar for Alcohol Drinks. No shops in the immediate area however I believe Dinner and Breakfast can be provided on request (I did not partake). I am doing the Shikoku Henro Pilgrimage and as it turned out, it was the ideal spot from which to visit Temple 38, Kongōfukuji, down the coast to Cape Ashizuri. A long trek there and back the other side to TosaShimuzu (about 15 mins away by bus) was just about doable in a day. By bicycle would definitely be easier/faster as it is relatively flat. The route has stunning Coastal Views and the Temple is impressive. The Guest House owner was friendly and kind and stored my heavy rucksack for the day so that I could travel light. Price was great value too, especially so close after Golden Week.

My partner and I loved this house! We were greeted by Seiko who gave us the key and she was the perfect host during our stay. The house is a renovated akiya and it has been done to such a high standard! It is so comfortable and we had a really great time! There is also a really cute coffee shop next door and the lady who runs it sells great coffee and food, and is really friendly! The location is fantastic as it is so close to the nature in the region in order to get out and explore! We had a motorcycle and it was great to be located on the edge of the city so that we could head out on adventures! All in all, I would 100% recommend this accommodation to anyone who wants a comfortable stay in Shimanto City!
