Nice hotel at the foothills of Mt. Aso. It is clean, staff is kind and attentive. We asked them if we can leave the luggage at the hotel before the check-in time and they stored it for us and brought to the room. We appreciate that we got a Japanese style room which was very nice and comfortable. The onsen and sauna were great. Excellent breakfast and dinner, a lot of choices.

This is a beautiful traditional (restored) Japanese house. Exceptionally spacious and comfortable for two people. The balcony at first floor and patio area with sun loungers to the rear were nice for relaxing at breakfast time and in the afternoon sun after a day out to Mount Aso. The highlight however was the optional barbecue evening meal in the impressive annexe. The host couple were incredibly kind and helpful and the meal was out of this world. The annexe building also has some impressive TV/audio facilities. It was a very memorable stay and we would thoroughly recommend staying here.

Everything’s good! The heater is warm, we had three very comfortable sleeping nights.

Everything was perfection - starting from my arrival, public bathhouse experience, the cozy room, delicious dinner and breakfast and very kind staff members. The view of Mt. Aso from the third floor lookout and the footbath area is impeccable. Also, much special thanks to Mr. Isao Tsugayasu, who was extremely helpful and kind to us throughout the stay! Top notch facilities and service, staff go out of the way to make the stay pleasant. Very nice view of mountain from my room and also the public onsen. I also left my phone behind at the property and the staff helped to express courier it to my next destination. Very impressed by their service level.

I stayed 1 night with large family group. We like the dinner buffet the most. Especially the free flow beer and foot onsen is a plus of this stay. One of our family room with open air bath got 2 separated toilet. Rooms are comfortable and the breakfast buffet is amazing too!
