Everything was perfect. We are a family of 4 with tweenager kids. This was the perfect space. Large and extremely cleaning. The sauna was an amazing unexpected treat. The kitchen was great. The beds and pillows were so comfortable. You do need a car today stay here but if you have a car I wouldn’t recommend anywhere else. We extended our stay to 4 nights and tried to extend for longer but they were fully booked. Our favourite accommodation in all of Japan.

There was a sudden heavy snow and our car was stuck in the snow. Our arrival time turned out to be almost 12am, we have messaged and informed the host, she was really kind, she stayed up and waited for us. She helped us to call the car rental service to make alternate arrangements and suggested safer routes for us to go Shirakawago the next day and route to return to Tokyo. House was spacious and clean, especially recommend for families.

Great for a one night stay. The hotel is a 5 minute walk from the train/bus station. English speaking staff. The restaurant was great. Very friendly and the private onsen was easy to book. The room was also spacious! We had a wonderful time! And they held our luggage after we checked out so we can sightsee.

Really enjoyed my stay at the stylish Hotel Wood. Excellent location close to everything - the old part of town and even the station. The staff were over and above friendly and helpful, they even arranged for a lift to the station when I had to leave early after a snowstorm. The room is very stylishly decorated and comfortable. The bed was on the harder side but was surprisingly comfortable. It was very clean. The central sitting area with free beer and sake in the evening was a nice touch for relaxation. The onsen was really superb. Immaculate and very relaxing. The Japanese breakfast was delicious. Good value for money Would definitely stay here again.

We stayed at the hotel only one night and we are very pleased. Its appearance from the outside does it no justice because inside it is new and luxurious. Excellent location, rich breakfast, friendly and helpful staff.

Very nice Ryokan. Room was super big that had sitting/tea area. We ordered the dinner separately and it was a very nice experience too.

Just a 2-minute walk from Takayama Station, Oyado Koto No Yume offers Japanese-style rooms with a colourful touch.
